Forbes: An Exclusive First Look At Bellyard, Atlanta’s Cool New West Midtown Hotel
Atlanta’s Westside continues to bubble with hip, smart energy, attracting new restaurants, retail, office space, and exciting hotels such as Bellyard, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel from Marriott. Located in the new Interlock development (which features a dizzying array of offerings including freshly-minted incubator office space, Puttshack, Velvet Taco, Pour Taproom, and a planned rooftop pool), the hotel is primely situated to be right in the buzzy mix of things.
The Westside’s history is far less exciting as it was once home to the cattle stockyards and a series of rail lines. typingmaster Design elements throughout the hotel are a nod to this scrappy industrial past. Open and airy, accented with iron fixtures and raw concrete ceilings and floors, the mood is nicely softened by walls of blonde wood, natural fibers, cowhide, and leather.
